Thought of the Day…

“Your growth always lies on the other side of your discomfort. Whether it’s in the weight room or in career decisions, you’ll never develop yourself by staying in your comfort zone. People don’t become old when they reach a certain birthday; they become old when they decide to live life without crossing that line of discomfort.”

  1. What does a comfort zone look and feel like again?(sarcasm) Makes me think of Maslow’s theory of self-actualization.

“What a man can be, he must be. This need we may call self-actualization…It refers to the desire for self-fulfillment, namely, to the tendency for him to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming.” Once our basic needs are met,(shelter, food) we innately seek/crave our desires/potentials.
